What is personally identifying
information?
"Personally identifying information" is information
that can be used to identify and/or contact you as an individual. This
includes information like your real name, e-mail address, mailing address,
phone number, credit card number, etc.
Information that, by itself, cannot be linked with your "real"
identity is not considered personally identifying. For example, favorite
or bookmarked Web sites, or your preferences with respect to how you
wish to see a given page or site set up according to the selections
you choose.
On occasion, ShenTel Service Company
may ask you for information such as your name or address when you are
placing a classified advertisement or event announcement. We also may
ask you to register for contests/promotions or services that require
registration or subscription. ShenTel Service Company needs to collect
this information for tracking/verifying compliance with ShenTel Service
Company policies. It may also be needed for verifying compliance with
federal, state, and local laws and/or for editorial and feedback solicitation
purposes. If we need to use your personal information, we will tell
you up front. This way you can decide whether you want to give us the
information.

do not attach any personal information to the IP addresses we track,
so our clients remain anonymous.
